Discounts, Sales, and Referrals
 
Does Sistrum offer any discounts?
Discounts are given only on Sistrum Earwears.  Earwear orders over $45.00 will receive a 15% discount.  Please account for discount when making payments.  If there are any questions or concerns, please call (773) 503-3482 to ensure the best service.
 
Does Sistrum offer a referral program?
Yes, Sistrum has a referral program, the 360 Sistrum (360). Sistrum holds true to keeping clients satisfied and returning, therefore all clients that refer a new client are 360 Sistrum Approved.  360 clients receive 10% off next purchase.  The referred client must make a purchase in order for 360 client to receive discount.  Inquiries are not applicable to referral discount.   First-time referred customers will receive 10% off first order, not applicable with any other discounts.  Pay it forward and keep the circle (360) turning.  Refer! Refer! Refer!  Become 360 Sistrum Approved now!
 
All sales items are final sale.  No exchanges on sales items.

What if an item is not available for immediate purchase?
Please note "Prototype" next to Sistrum She-ka-res items.  Which denotes that item is not ready for purchase but can be custom ordered to your specific needs.  Prices vary upon designs, paint, & technique.  After a custom made order is placed, within three (3) days, an email or telephone call will be made to verify total price.   When an order is placed for Sistrum Earwears, after deposit is received, a telephone call or email will be made confirming immediate availability.  Please call (773) 503-3482 to ensure product availability before checking out.
 
Is a deposit required before placing my order?
Yes, all orders (shekeres and earwears) require a 50% deposit before order can processed. 
 
How can I put a deposit down on shekeres if my PayPal cart automatically totals the FULL price?
If you are ONLY placing a deposit for your items, please be advised that the PayPal carts are ONLY able to accept FULL payments.  Please click on the "DONATE" button and place your deposit there.  Full payments are always welcome when your initial order is placed.
 
Sistrum Earwears
 
I do not see a PayPal cart for earwears.  How can I pay for earwears via the website?
Unfortunately, Sistrum has not developed a PayPal cart for Earwears at this time. 
 
Sistrum Earwears Order Procedure:
  • Please first place your order detailing the earwears you would like to purchase on the contact form, then
  • Pay the total order amount or your deposit by clicking the button below.
 
Please note that order will not be processed until deposit is recieved.

Classes
 
What is the procedure for setting up sessions?
All monies must be paid two weeks prior to the date of classes.  Session dates are open to be set by SistrumclientsPlease contact Sistrum to confirm dates prior to confirming it with your group or school. Sessions can be purchased directly from the "Classes" page.  Sessions must be set three weeks in advance.
 
How many gourds are provided at the sessions?
Adult sessions only include one (1) gourd.  Additional gourds can be purchased here.  School and student sessions include one (1) small gourd per child.
 
What happens if I need to cancel a session?
Due to the preparation process required and scheduling commitments, all monies are non-refundable.  50% deposits are due at initial scheduling.  Please make sure that you are available for the session dates when confirmed.
 
Sales Tax
 
What is the sales tax?
There is no sales added to any order.
 
Shipping and Returns
 
What is the retun policy for Sistrum?
No cash refunds are given. If you are not 100% satisfied with a product, contact Sistrum immediately by phone or email.  All items can be exchanged, or you may receive a credit, provided the item is returned within 14 days of purchase.   All items must be unworn, in its original condition and undamaged.  All sales items are FINAL.
 
When can I expect to receive to my order?
All orders will be processed within 48 hours after receipt of deposit, excluding holidays.  Once processed, you will receive a telephone call or email verifying order.  All orders will be shipped USPS. Sistrum She-ka-res orders require a two and a half   (2 and a 1/2) week manufacturing period after deposit received. Sistrum Earwears orders require a one (1) week manufactoring period. 
 
Is there a fee for mailing items?
Yes, there is a fee for mailing items to all clients.  This price is added in your PayPal cart.  Items are only shipped within US and US territories.

Can I pick up my items?
Yes, you can pick up your items. You also have the option to receive the Sistrum drop-off service for a fee of $7.00.  This fee is required to be paid before processing order. Please include exact time, date, and location in instructions.  Details of address or pick-up need to be confirmed via telephone.
